"MATFAKARNISH" After nearly 10 weeks from concept to screen, the Visual
magic of Hoda Saad’s “Matfakarnish” is complete. The short is based on the plot of the
Song “Matfakarnish” from the Moroccan singer’s debut album “Ertaht”. Hoda
sings in the Egyptian, Lebanese, Khaliji and in her native Moroccan dialect. The director, Georges Chamchoum, went against
type in his concept for the video short and took a tragic love story and visually painted it into a musical fantasy. Shot
on location in Hollywood, on the Venice Canals (Los Angeles), at the MUSIC ROOM STUDIOOS in Redondo Beach & on the ALVAS
Sound Stage in San Pedro, this vibrant, colorful Music Video reflects the passion that the cast and crew put into it’s
creation. The broadcast of this Video presentation will premiere internationally on the ROTANA network. The DVD
premiere screening took place on Monday, March 30th athe Mpark4 Theatre, 3240 Wilshire Blvd, 3rd floor, Los Angeles, CA 90010. This

Here's
a Fantastic Musical secret that I discovered right in our own backyard. It's ALVAS Showroom in San Pedro. Alvas
has actually been around from the 1950's as a dance studio, a happening Music Store, but it's also been almost secretly hosting some of the most exciting live music performances in L.A. It's outfitted with
high tech stage equipment, yet it has a comfortable quaint atmosphere. The seating is like a small amphitheater
for about 80 people. You sit so close to the band that you really are part of the music experience. There are no waitresses
or menus, but you can bring your own food and drinks ... Wow that's cool! Check out ALVAS website for the
upcoming acts. They just did a tribute to CREAM with Ginger Baker's son Kofi Baker drumming. If you're looking

of London England consist of Lead man/bassist Andy Duke, Guitarist Dom Beckford & Drummer
Craig Welsh. This is a high energy, power trio of interesting proportions that I've come to love. Rodney
on the Roq turned me on to them, and I can't stop listening now. They've got melodic, progressive, tight grooves
with an added great comedic touch that truly ROCKS you into a totally Fun Zone. With the comedic angle they take, you aren't
surprised that none of them are actually named Buck or are Brothers. Their pumped up energy is ever present in all the songs,
with tight performances by all the players. They remind me of the catchy & natural good feelings that the Beatles brought
to another generation. Andy Duke is the driving force, the lead singer, and largely behind the humorus attitude of the Buck
Brothers. Check out "Girls, Skirts, Boots, Bikes" and "Gorgeously Stupid" to get you started on their
music set. They have a new version of their music video "Which Me Do You Like" which we will be adding to this continuing

World... RAWK DAWG a new, but classic rock sounding group lent it's raspy Rock voice to the toys for the Peter
Jackson film KING KONG. RAWK DAWG's lead singer, Jo Island recorded and created the vocalizations for Universal Pictures partners for merchandising efforts. Peter
Jackson himself approved the sounds to represent the 250 million dollar film. "We had to make a few
changes to satisfy Peter, but in the end we got that "ALPHA" sound that he wanted. It was really very cool
to work with major film like that!" said Jo Island of RAWK DAWG. RAWK DAWG is soon to release it's 3rd CD as a
followup to the 2nd CD ”WE ONLY CAME TO ROCK”. Their Classic Rock

- this GUITAR has a brain! The NEW GIBSON "Robo Guitar made history as the first guitar with robotic self-tuning technology. WHOA!
You just strum an out-of-tune guitar and the tuning keys move to perfectly re-tune the guitar in seconds. You can select normal
or special tunings too, like Eb. The guitar has a CPU in the body you can see if you flip the guitar over. The connection
to the keys isn't using wires up the neck but it actually uses the strings themselves to tell the tuning pegs which way to
turn. It's really fantastic. It's a bit pricey now, but I know it will become more commonplace in the near future as "Add-on

ARLYN at LIVE AT THE LOUNGE LIVE MUSIC REVIEW
Saturday night, LIVE AT THE LOUNGE in Hermosa Beach, (on the south bay from Hollywood) showcased
4 singer songwriters. On this night all of them were women, and all of them were talented, but there was one star that shinned
through brighter than any out that night…. Debra Arlyn. Debra is
sharp, smart and so alive that it takes you and shakes you into life. Such emotion in her voice that it touches you and expresses
life so profoundly that you can’t believe that at 20 she can show such an understanding. She is soooo alive and jumps
from intense to thoughtful just phrases apart. Her attitude is matter of fact as she announced her songs and the personal
origins that she drew from. People can talk about emotions, and music but Debra does it. I was forced to write about this
artist by her shear musical power. She is a killer now, and a monster talent to be seen more in the future I am sure.
Debra live in Oregon and in touring the Los Angeles area this month, with one more appearance at the Palmer Room in
L.A. on September 19th. If you missed LIVE AT THE LOUNGE, the Palmer is you last chance to catch her.

at MOLLY MALONES LIVE MUSIC REVIEW Full Moon Productions & JT showcased the artist JONNEINE ZAPATA , at MOLLY MALONES in Hollywood, August 16th. I had never seen Jonneine perform before
and didn’t know what to expect. The act that preceded her, was a full blown Rock act that had blazing guitars &
drums that had brought the room up to a High energy level. When Jonneine and Jeff Mendel
, her guitarist took the stage, Jeff sat quietly on a chair, head lowered with electric guitar, gently picking
the strings. After a bit, Jonneine poised in a Japanese flavored gown, began to softly sing their first song. The performance
was dramatic, musical & theatrical. The room was still full from the previous act, and audience stood in the center of
the room to listen to her performs. The audience was captivated and stood quietly, listening to every word she sang through
out her set. Joanneine’s performance was sometimes haunting, as was the smooth guitar playing of her accomplice, Jeff
Mendel. Her songs were very emotional, touching on deep, frail at times, feelings seemingly from her own life. I felt I was
watching a play, with drama ala Jim Morrison, and a candid look into an interesting life. I later spoke with Jeff Mendel and
found they will be doing recording a soon, and had no CD at the time to give me. I think if they had recorded that night,
it would have been a fantastic record as it was. They don’t use any special effects, just great talent, performance

Scott Hendersonappeared at ALVAS Performance Gallery in San Pedro… did I say appeared? Actually they almost blew the roof
off. His Trio is a HOT fusion of Rock, Jazz & Blues with John Humphrey on Bass, and Kirk Covington on Drums & Vocals.
Scott’s soaring Guitar travels from Jazz to Rock and Blues without compromising any of them. He’s plays with multi-
textured overtones that remind you of the passion of Jimi Hendrix, and the freedom of an Eric Clapton’s Cream Jam. Scott
is entrenched in the Blues and it’s definitely “Electrified Smokin’ Blues.” The Jazz element comes
through in swells of guitar textures & sounds at Scott’s will. Scott mans a large & extensive custom effects
pedal complete with 2 twisting foot switches, 2 foot controller, and over 20 push buttons. Scott effortlessly rides one foot
twisting the controls while he’s bending the notes with his whammy bar almost without conscience thought. Scott
fluently attacks his Jazz with diverse creativity, jumping from emotional musical bridges, without falling short of the mark.
Kirk Covington, is a ROCK solid drummer with a Musical attitude and Rock solid voice that fit the soaring Blues Rock songs
like a glove. On Bass was John Hunphrey, has a solid punchy and musical feel to round out the trio. At times John’s
playing was so smooth it sounded as if he was playing a fretless bass. From his days with Chick Corea and on with TRIBAL
TECH, Scott has always stayed on top of his musical game. The trio tours across Europe once or twice every year. Scott
is just back from the latest European tour supporting his newest CD release “SCOTT HENERSON – LIVE”
